Laura Shaw and Bob Partridge from Training-Progress are joining a charity fundraising event. It is organised by Bob Partridge in aid of 2 charities. Motor Neurone Disease Association and Prostate Cancer UK. The team includes team members from VetDentist and other friends.
The challenge is a 26 mile walk over the beautiful and rugged Yorkshire Dales. It takes in the three peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent. All being well, the walk should take around 12 hours, so there will be a 6 am start to ensure the whole team can finish safely before dark.
Bob chose the charities as they both support people with conditions which have personally affected Bob or his friends.
The Motor Neurone Disease association to fund research into treatments for NMD, and provides support for both sufferers of NMD and their carers.
Prostate Cancer UK aims to – ‘to improve the care and welfare of those affected by prostate cancer, increase investment in research, and raise public and political awareness of a long-neglected disease’.
